Tunnel Sounder

The Tunnel Sounder is installed in the middle of the trawl either on the top of the net or in the belly. The sensor confirms the fish are swimming into the cod end. A unique feature of the sounder it its transducer which can look backwards and provide an echogram of the fish swimming past the Tunnel Sounder all the way into the cod-end.
